Conner had so much fun playing with his Uncle Austin's new puppy on Saturday and I think the puppy had just as much fun. They had both my parents, Austin and myself cracking up. I think both Rasputin and Conner took great naps after their playtime!
We re-filled Conner's swimming pool this evening and he decided that he wanted to get in while the water was still running. He had so much fun once he discovered the hose. He loved trying to drink from it and waving it all around.
We had a great 4th of July! We started the morning at the Kirkland parade where Conner had a great time running up and down the side walk, as well as in and out of Time Out. I think Conner's highlight of the morning was popcorn. He has never had popcorn before, but he definitely does love it! My favorite part of the morning was being able to see all of my good friends and their families.
After the parade we headed home for naps for both Conner and Andrew. Luckily Conner took a long 3.5 hour nap and then we headed out to our friend Justin's house for a BBQ before fireworks. Conner was able to make some new friends and go out on a boat ride. We headed over to Kate and Matt's house a little later to wait for dark so that Conner could see his first fireworks. I wasn't sure if the noise would bother Conner or not, or even if he would be able to make it up late enough. Conner's normal bedtime is around 7:30 or 8:00 and we needed him to stay up to almost 10:00 to see the fireworks. He did better than I ever expected, he was not fazed at all by the noise and he madeit up to 10:30pm with the assistance of his binky! It was a great day spent with our favorite friends!
I am just starting out on the adventure of becoming a new parent. This is a space where I can share my thoughts and experiences about my pregnancy and later as a first time parent
