I have been lax about posting lately and I need to catch up on some important things like mother's day (will post later with a picture). But I wanted to write a quick note about how big my little guy is getting and how I can't believe he is already 3 months old. He does not have another doctor's appt until 4 months so I don't have official statistics, but my guess on his weight is around 16lbs. He has definitely slowed down in his growth as he has been wearing his latest set of clothes for the past 3 weeks and they still fit! That fact alone will save us a lot of money - buying new clothes every week was getting expensive.
Conner's personality is really starting to shine as well. He is such a comedian when he wants to be but likes to sit back and study everything as well. Any toy or object with a face on it will get an intense stare for at least 5-10 minutes. He loves to give a sideways smile, including eyebrow raise to his parents and grandparents and then break out into a laugh. He is ticklish on his feet and his chest, loves to stick his hands in his mouth and is just starting to grasp at objects in front of him. He is not a big fan of tummy time but will deal with it for short periods of time (I have even gotten him to smile while on his tummy). He still has no interest in rolling over from either side, but can prop himself up on his arms when on his tummy. He also has great neck control now and loves to play in his "circle of fun". I am going to try and post a video of him playing as soon as I can.
He has been a little more fussy in the last 2 weeks, but I have also just gone back to work and this is a big transition for him (and me as well). He loves going to his grandparent's house in the morning and playing with dad in the afternoon, but it is such a big change from being with mom 24/7. His sleep has also been affected and he now wakes 2-3 times a night just to nurse and cuddle. Now that it is getting light so early apparently 4:30 is the time to wake up and play. I will hear him cooing and talking to himself over the monitor for a few minutes before he decides to fuss to get me up. Waking at 4:30 may be a way for him to get some more "mom" time as well as we get to cuddle and play for a couple of hours before I drop him off at Grandmas just in time for him to nap.
I will be starting a new job in a couple of weeks that will allow me a more flexible schedule and to be able to work from home for a couple of hours everyday. This will be a little easier on us both (as well as his grandma who won't have to be up at 6:30 every morning). I am looking forward to the new start and the flexible schedule as well as the summer months coming up. Conner is such a good baby, even when he is fussy he is still so good and happy!
This is not a recent picture (taken about 3 weeks ago), so I will have to get more pictures when I get home. But Andrew took this picture when he had change for the bar, and it is definitely worth sharing!
